What motivates you to give back to your community?
It’s a learned behavior, my parents (Paula and Big Mike) are some of the most selfless people to walk the planet. Their ability to nurture my brother and I, to give more than you could ever get back, was normal behavior in our home. Our parents were the backbone of our neighborhood, sports teams, and their employers. We had a front row seat on how to be impactful with your actions.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Loyalty is the base character trait. Have kids, run a business, have fitness goals – you don’t know busy!
What would make New Hampshire more attractive to young professionals?
I ran from New Hampshire in my 20s to try to find something “more attractive.” When I was away, I would unintentionally always compare New Hampshire to where I was – California, Florida or in between. I would and did choose New Hampshire every day. I personally needed that experience to know that what I had was better than what I was chasing.
Do you see yourself living and working in New Hampshire at age 55-plus?
Yes, we always have and always will call New Hampshire home. At 55-plus, you’ll find us splitting our time between Back Lake in Pittsburg and our home in Manchester. We love the best of both worlds, and within a few hours we can have both.
Volunteer activities: Nashua Energy and Environment Committee, N.H. Homebuilders Association, Souhegan Valley Rotary.
Last major achievement: Persuaded Alyssa (my wife) to join our business. She enhanced the culture of the company on a personal level, all the while we collectively grew Turn Cycle Solutions by 35% in the calendar year 2023. With that new growth we expanded our team by several new New Hampshire team members, and now have 17 fleet vehicles on the road to service our great customers all over the state. We did this all the while parenting a 1- and 3-year-old!
