What motivates you to give back to your community?
I was fortunate to have great mentors throughout my path to licensure as a land surveyor. This motivates me to give back to young professionals across the country to help them obtain their own career goals, however that may be.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Focus your purchases on items that make you money. Don’t waste your time on things that won’t move you forward. Set goals and chase them aggressively.
What would make New Hampshire more attractive to young professionals?
State/local grants to promote affordable housing development. We could mimic language being used in Maine for their affordable homeownership program.
Do you see yourself living and working in New Hampshire at age 55-plus?
Northam is the original name for Dover. I’ll be practicing land surveying in and around Dover for the foreseeable future.
Volunteer activities: Past President of the New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association; member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors – Young Surveyors Network; member of Maine Society of Land Surveyors.
Last major achievement: Ran and completed the New York City Marathon in November 2023. Helped establish the Robert Moynihan Education Grant Fund which helps aid survey technicians in New Hampshire obtain formal education.
