The Beach Boys have released details about their Endless Summer Gold Tour, and the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford is set to host the iconic band on May 26.
It may be called the Endless Summer Gold Tour, but The Beach Boys and their Southern California sound will be catching an early wave into the Lakes Region in spring.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees and recipients of The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award have announced a tour stop at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion on Sunday, May 26.
General tickets sales will start at 10 a.m. Friday.
The tour announcement comes as the band gears up for the April 2 release of the aptly named book “The Beach Boys by The Beach Boys” via Genesis Publications. It captures the group’s rise from garage band to international sensation. Told through the music of Brian Wilson with chief lyricist Mike Love, along with Al Jardine, Dennis Wilson, Carl Wilson, David Marks and Bruce Johnston, the book is accompanied by photographs and historical ephemera.
The forthcoming tour and book comes on the heels of a series of milestones for the band including the CBS tribute special “A Grammy Salute to the Beach Boys,” which featured Weezer, Norah Jones, John Legend and Mumford & Sons, among others.
The Beach Boys are led by lead singer and chief lyricist Mike Love, who, along with longtime member Bruce Johnston, musical director Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, Jon Bolton, Keith Hubacher, Randy Leago and John Wedemeyer continue the legacy of the iconic band.
