“It’s kind of a unique one,” Boston Police spokesperson Sgt. Det. John Boyle said.

Around 4 p.m., the officers were alerted to the runaway sheep in the area of Boston Street and helped locate the animals nearby, Boyle said.

A video shared on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, showed a police officer and several other people cornering one of the sheep near the inter section of Preble and Ward streets.

“We have that sheep in custody over on Preble Street,” a police officer says in the video. “We’ll put him in the back of my cruiser and, uh, take him back to where he’s supposed to be.”
