What motivates you to give back to your community?
I give back to my community in hopes that others, including those in future generations, get to experience the same New Hampshire I was born and raised in: one that is vibrant and appealing thanks to the hard work of countless community organizations and leaders. I believe we can only continue to thrive so long as people remain involved and committed to ensuring our state’s success though volunteerism, service and engagement.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Stay committed to your goals and aspirations, but stay flexible in your approach. Focus on who you want to become versus what you want to achieve. Surround yourself with people who are self-reflective and approach their lives with an attitude of life-long learning.
What would make New Hampshire more attractive to young professionals?
New Hampshire is already an attractive place for young professionals! With its close proximity to Boston, the Seacoast and the White Mountains, coupled with an influx for many in remote and hybrid work environments, New Hampshire is a great place to live, work, and play. Our focus should remain on encouraging our homegrown young professionals to become more involved in their communities so that others may have the same great experiences we enjoy.
Do you see yourself living and working in New Hampshire at age 55-plus?
Yes. New Hampshire is home.
Volunteer activities: Mentor to two girls at Girls Inc. in Manchester; board member at NHSCOT.
Last major achievement: Raising $30,000 for Best Buddies New Hampshire as a Champion of the Year candidate.
